History in numbers

1993

Lubomír Drašar, Pavel Krois, and Petr Novotný found SWELL. They open a design office in Hořice and hire their first five employees.

1999

The company purchases a production facility in Hořice and expands its services to include the manufacture of prototype parts. It specializes in stamped body structures, machined models, and tools.

2003

The growing partnership with the leading Czech car producer leads to the opening of a branch in Mladá Boleslav.

2005

The first equipment for material testing is installed literally in a former garage. This lays the foundation for a future development testing facility.

2008

A modern Development Services Center opens on Příčná Street in Hořice - the company’s most significant investment to date.

2009

SWELL is granted Accredited Testing Laboratory status by the Czech Accreditation Institute.

2012

The second phase of construction of the Development Services Center is completed. The prototype workshop and testing facility are expanded. The company becomes part of F1 development team in Maranello.

2014

Investment fund managed by Genesis Capital, becomes the owner of the company.

2016

Altran Technologies becomes the new owner. SWELL joins the multinational group under the new name Altran CZ.

2020

The Altran Group is acquired by the technology firm Capgemini.

2023

Management buyout of the company is completed. Investment fund managed by Versute Capital becomes the majority owner, while managers Petr Havlík, Milan Křovina, and Jaromír Kejval acquire a minority stake. The company changes its brand to Tiyo.
